Virginia COVID Standard from Courtney Malveaux and Jackson Lewis

  • Virginia Covid Standard Presentation
     August 6, 2020
     5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

The Virginia Safety and Health Codes Board (which includes the presenter) passed a first-in-the-nation standard to address COVID-19 in workplaces.  Virginia Occupational Safety and Health (VOSH), the state’s version of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), now will enforce a standard that mandates — and in some instances exceeds — guidance issued by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and OSHA. The new standard covers most private employers in Virginia, as well as all state and local employees.

Join Courtney Malveaux, an attorney who represents employers in OSHA matters, in an interactive discussion about the new COVID-19 requirements, with a heavy emphasis on the Virginia-unique requirements.  Mr. Malveaux is Virginia’s immediate Past Labor Commissioner and a former President of the National Association of Government Labor Officials.  He represents industrial employers on the Virginia Safety and Health Codes Board, which approves OSHA standards for Virginia employers.
